Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was part of the IRE vs IND T20I series but did not play in either game.

India and England are clashing in the 2nd T20I of the five-match series at Emirates Old Stadium in Manchester on July 4. Despite this being the second game, both teams are making a fresh start in the series as their opening game was washed out due to rain.

The Shreyas Iyer & Co. are aiming for a comeback after losing the previous T20I series against Ireland last month. They faced a 2-0 whitewash in the series, suffering their first-ever defeat against Ireland in the international cricket..

Notably, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was part of the previous T20I series against Ireland but warmed the bench in both games. Due to his impressive show in domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL) this year, the left-handed batsman earned his national call-up against Ireland.

Although captain Shreyas Iyer and team management did not provide opportunities to the Bihar player in the last series, they gave him an opportunity in the second T20I. The 15-year-old made his national debut in the ENG vs IND 2nd T20I in Manchester and broke a rare and memorable record in the match, even before arriving to bat.
