Virat Kohli announced his retirement from tests on May 12.
Indian cricketer Virat Kohli met spiritual leader Premanand Ji Maharaj on Wednesday, May 13, just a day after retiring from Test cricket. Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma visited the temple town of Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi to seek blessings from the spiritual leader.
Notably, Kohli announced his retirement from tests on Tuesday, May 12. The right-handed batsman represented the Indian Cricket Team in 123 tests during his 14-year-long career. He made his debut in June 2011 against the West Indies and played his last test match against Australia earlier this year in January.
Kohli will now represent the national team in ODIs. His retirement decision comes just days after Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from Tests. Sharma announced his test retirement on May 7. However, he will continue to lead the national team in ODIs.
