Astonishing stat reveals Virat Kohli approximately 510 KM between the wickets in 15 years in international cricket

Star batter Virat Kohli has scored 53.74% of his runs in international cricket with ‘running between the wickets’.
15 years ago on this day, India’s star batter Virat Kohli made his international debut. Virat Kohli made his international debut in an ODI game against Sri Lanka in 2008 in Dambulla. Virat started as an opener along with Gautam Gambhir and scored just 12 runs in 22 balls in his maiden innings. From then to now, Virat Kohli has scored above 25,500 international runs in his 15 years of career so far.
Virat is going strong, and he is in line to own most of the batting records under his name. Fitness has played a pivotal role in Virat’s success. Known for his heavy scoring ability, Virat is also known for a special feature during his innings, ‘Running between the wickets’.
Virat ran 510 Kilometers
In most of his international runs, Virat Kohli has scored 53.74% of his runs with singles, doubles, or triples. When we convert these numbers into a distance and calculate the distance covered by Virat Kohli by running between the wickets, the result is a staggering number. Former Indian captain Virat has run around 276.57 kilometers in his career.
Virat is known for his hard work, and his numbers suggest that he loves to steal singles and then convert those into doubles or more. His agility and speed in running always encourage his partner, be it on strike or on the non-striker end, to put in extra effort.
When we add Virat’s distance covered as a non-striker, the number gets even bigger and better. At the non-striker’s end, Virat Kohli has contributed to 11,606 runs, and if we convert these numbers into distance, it comes to around 233.48 kilometers. When we add these two in combination, the total distance comes to around 510 kilometers in the 15 years of his career.
So far in his international career, Virat has smashed 2533 fours and 279 sixes in his 501 international games. He has scored 11806 runs with boundaries. He is also in line to break Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 100 centuries in international cricket. Virat has scored 76 centuries so far in 501 games.
