Since then, there has been some news that the two are planning to build a cricket pitch in their Alibaug house. However, it seems that Virat Kohli also got the news that he and his wife are planning to build a cricket pitch, and he has come up and made a clarification on such rumors. On Tuesday morning, several media reports claimed that Virat would prepare a pitch in Alibaug house.
Virat Kohli slams the TOI for publishing fake news
Virat Kohli has slammed a publication house for publishing fake news that he and his wife are planning to construct a cricket pitch at his Alibaug house. Notably, the renowned newspaper, The Times of India, published a report. Though it wasn’t real, and they cited a report from Mid Day.Virat shared a screenshot of the post on his social media handle and wrote, “Bachpan se jo akhbaar pada, wo bhi fake news chhapne lage.”

Notably, the couple invested in 8 acres of land in Alibaug in 2022. They are planning to build a farmhouse on that property, and they visited it recently. Just a few days ago, Virat also broke his silence on the fake news about his social media earnings, where it was claimed that he was earning INR 11.5 crore per Instagram post.
Meanwhile, the former Indian captain is on a one-month break. He will be back in action for India in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. India will face arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening game on September 2nd in Pallekele. He looked good against West Indies and India will hope that he can continue his form.
