Virat Kohli and Travis Head were involved in a heated exchange during the SRH vs RCB clash in Hyderabad.

Match 67 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 produced 455 runs in 40 overs, where Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) ended up beating Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 55 runs. With this, Pat Cummins and co. ended the league stage with a win, while RCB suffered a defeat in their final group game.

SRH couldn’t win it by the desired margin and finished the league stage in third place. Despite the defeat, RCB finished at the top, followed by Gujarat Titans (GT) in the second spot. More than the game, the SRH vs RCB clash became the centre of attraction for a different reason.

This game saw a heated exchange between Virat Kohli and Travis Head on the field. It didn’t end well, and Virat didn’t shake hands with Head after the game got over. The video has spread like the fire in the woods, and everyone is talking about it.

The incident occurred during the second innings of the SRH vs RCB clash. Virat was seen exchanging words with Head. Virat was heard saying, “Okay, come down and bowl some deliveries.” Virat was visibly unhappy with Head’s gesture earlier.

However, once Virat got out, Head said, “Mate, you got out before I even came on to bowl.” Head’s word triggered the former RCB captain even more. Hence, after the game, when players from both teams were exchanging handshakes, Virat didn’t raise his hand towards Head.

Head extended his hands, but Virat went past him and shook hands with other SRH players. The incident had mixed reactions from the fans. Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan criticised Virat and said that it could have been avoided.

Speaking of the game, SRH batted first and posted a mammoth total of 255 runs. Abhishek Sharma gave them a quick start with a 22-ball 56. Ishan Kishan carried his form and scored 79 off 46 balls. Heinrich Klaasen (51 off 24) and Nitish Reddy (29* off 12) played brilliant cameos.

For RCB, captain Rajat Patidar scored 56 off 39 balls. Krunal Pandya (41*) and Venkatesh Iyer (44 off 19) made good contributions. RCB and GT will face each other in Qualifier 1 on Tuesday, while SRH will face the fourth-ranked team in the Eliminator on Wednesday.
