Will Virat Kohli play Delhi vs Railways match in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 tomorrow?

Virat Kohli missed Delhi’s previous game against Services on January 3.

Indian Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli rocked the field with his performances in Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) 2025-26 for his domestic team Delhi. The right-handed batter hammered a century and a half-century in Delhi’s opening two games of the tournament.

In the first clash against Andhra, Kohli hammered a stunning century, scoring 131 and helped the team to start the tournament on a winning note. He continued with his stellar form in the next clash, hitting 77 against Gujarat.

He was also adjudged Player of the Match for his quick-fire fifty in the match, which Delhi won by a narrow margin of just seven runs. During that knock, Kohli also touched the mark of 16,000 runs in List A cricket, becoming only the second Indian batter after Sachin Tendulkar to reach the milestone.

After featuring in the first two games, Kohli did not play in Delhi’s previous games against Saurashtra, Odisha, and Services. Now, the Rishabh Pant-led side will clash with Railways in their next game on January 6, which will take place at KSCA Cricket Ground in Alur. Fans are excited to know if Kohli will be part of the clash.

Virat Kohli’s availability for Delhi vs Railways match of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26

Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) had earlier informed that Kohli has made himself available for three games in VHT 2025-26. After featuring the first two matches, he took a short break to spend time with his family.

As per the initial plans, Kohli was going to return to play one more game for Delhi on January 6 against Railways, before moving forward to play for India in the ODI series against New Zealand. However, according to a latest report from ANI, Kohli will not play in the clash against Railways.

Notably, Kohli has been named in India’s squad for the ODI series against New Zealand, which will commence on January 11 with the first game in Vadodara. The ODI squad is scheduled to reach Vadodara on January 7 and start their practice for the campaign.

As a result, Indian players part of New Zealand ODIs will not play in Vijay Hazare Trophy as they will report for the training camp on January 7, and Kohli is one of them. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had asked the centrally-contracted players to play at least two games in VHT 2025-26, which Kohli has already played.
