Virat Kohli and RCB team were criticised for continuing their celebrations despite people outside the stadium losing their lives.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Virat Kohli broke his silence after people lost their lives in a stampede during the team’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 triumph celebrations. He expressed his disappointment with the development, saying that he is gutted.
The victory celebration of the RCB didn’t go as they would’ve wanted. After winning the IPL title after a long wait of 18 years, the Rajat Patidar-led side flew back home to Bengaluru and planned a grand celebration at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, which is their home ground.
RCB planned a victory parade followed by the celebrations at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, but it turned into a horrific event. This is because the cases of stampedes came from the area, and as per the various media reports, more than 11 people lost their lives while more than 50 were injured.
