Virat Kohli enters top 10 in latest ICC rankings for batters in Test cricket

Virat Kohli jumped four places in the latest ICC Men’s Test Batting rankings.
Indian batter Virat Kohli played a brilliant knock against South Africa in the first test match played at Supersport Park in Centurion. Virat Kohli scored 38 runs in the first innings of the match and added 76 in the second. Virat has got the reward for his decent work in test cricket.
Star Indian batter Virat Kohli has jumped up four places in the latest ICC Men’s Test rankings for batters. Kohli is currently placed at ninth position in the batting rankings with 761 rating points. Virat Kohli was at the 13th place before the start of India’s two-match test series against South Africa.
Kane Williamson still at the top
New Zealand batter Kane Williamson is still at the top in the ICC Men’s Test rankings for batters with 864 rating points. Virat Kohli is 103 points behind Kane Williamson’s ratings. Former Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson scored a hundred against Bangladesh in the first test played at Sylhet last month.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma dropped out of the top 10 after a dismal batting performance in the Centurion test. Rohit scored just 5 runs in 2 innings and he is currently placed at 14th position in the ICC Men’s Test rankings for batters with 719 rating points. South African skipper Dean Elgar jumped 19 places after his wonderful hundred in Centurion and is placed at 17th position with 680 rating points.
New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell has jumped up three places in the rankings and is currently placed at fourth spot with 786 points. Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne and Harry Brook also have jumped one place each and now find themselves ranked at seventh and eighth position respectively. Indian off-spinner Ravi Ashwin is firmly placed at number one position in the bowler’s rankings with 872 points. Ravindra Jadeja is fourth and Jasprit Bumrah is fifth in the rankings.
