Virat Kohli is widely known and admired in cricket. With a bat in his hand, he has been a favourite right from his debut. Just like the timeless hero’s journey, he has grown from a flashy young prodigy to a game-changing seasoned pro. Right from the beginning of his career, we could see that Kohli had immense talent. He had the hunger to score runs and consistently win games for his team. He wasted no time in displaying his brilliance and quickly grew from the U-19 level to the international arena.

Virat Kohli has grown in stature with every innings. Now, he is one of the greatest batters ever, a hero worshipped by millions of fans. Kohli currently has 80 international centuries to his name and is far ahead of most of his compatriots. He is just behind Sachin Tendulkar in the list of batters with the most international centuries.

Kohli’s record-breaking total of one-day international centuries is truly remarkable. He has definitely grown to become the greatest-ever ODI batter. During the ODI World Cup 2023, he leapt past the great Sachin Tendulkar to become the only batter to score 50 ODI centuries. His consistent ability to score runs has been due to his strong state of mind and ability to thrive under pressure.

But, Kohli’s true impact on the game goes beyond mere statistics. He’s truly changed the game for batters, blending classic technique with a contemporary flair. His incredible ability to chase down challenging scores in high-pressure situations has earned him adulation from his arch-rivals and won over countless fans.
