Legendary captain and former Indian cricketer, MS Dhoni is celebrating his 42nd birthday today.

MS Dhoni is celebrating his 42nd birthday and received a unique birthday wish from his former India teammate Virender Sehwag on Twitter. Social media has been buzzing since midnight as people from different corners of the country and the world are wishing for the legendary wicket-keeper batter on different platforms.

Dhoni played 90 Test matches, scoring 4876 runs with six centuries and 33 fifties at an average of 38.09. His 294 dismissals are the highest in Test cricket by an Indian wicket-keeper. He also has 10773 runs in 350 ODIs, with 10 tons and 73 half-centuries, and made 1617 runs in 98 T20Is.

After being selected as the Indian captain for the first time, he led India to victory in the 2007 T20 World Cup. Later in 2011, he became just the second Indian captain to win the 50-over World Cup in India, behind Kapil Dev. A few years later, in the 2013 Champions Trophy final, Dhoni led India to their first-ever outright victory.

Fans have been wishing MS Dhoni in their unique styles as videos have flooded social media. One shows cutouts of Dhoni were erected by his admirers in Hyderabad and Nandigama, Andhra Pradesh, to commemorate his birthday. Social media has been flooded with videos and pictures showing a cut-out of Dhoni that is 77 feet tall.

Another cut-out, allegedly 52 feet tall, was put into place in Hyderabad. Dhoni is depicted in the cutout in Nandigama wearing the CSK training uniform, whereas the cutout in Hyderabad was wearing an Indian jersey.

However, one of the most unique wishes came from Dhoni’s former India teammate and captain Virender Sehwag. Sehwag is known for his witty social media posts and he always comes up with out-of-the-box messages and he outdid himself.
