Royal Challengers Bangalore opener Virat Kohli smashed his 7th century in the history of IPL.

Virat Kohli continued his good run of form in the ongoing IPL 2023 as he slammed his second century in two matches with this one coming in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) vs Gujarat Titans (GT), the final league match of the tournament at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru on May 21, 2023.

After being asked to bat first by GT skipper Hardik Pandya at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, the RCB skipper Faf du Plessis was firm to make sure the team wins by a good margin.

Looking at the IPL points table, this is a must-win match for RCB for them to qualify for the playoffs. In the previous match of day, Mumbai Indians defeated the Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets, inching the team forward to qualify as the fourth team.

Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis, the captain of the RCB, began their innings by batting quickly.

Despite the fact that du Plessis (28) was dismissed by Noor Ahmad in the eighth over. Rashid Khan also removed Glen Maxwell (11) in the ninth over. Mahipal Lomror then returned to the pavilion after being dismissed by Noor Ahmad in the tenth over.

Michael Bracewell was then dispatched by the RCB to form a partnership with Virat after this, and he made 26 runs before being dismissed by Mohammed Shami in the 14th over.
