However, it looked like it was not just restricted to the cricket fraternity but had reached the highest level.

In a recent NATO meeting, both Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and his UK counterpart Rishi Sunak were seen taking a healthy jibe at each other over the ongoing Ashes series. Well, there were some serious talks during the NATO summit, but the PMs from both nations took a small moment to sledge each other, which caught the attention of the whole world.

It happened when the Australian PM met with the UK PM to have a discussion on a Free Trade Agreement between the two nations. Albanese pounced on the opportunity and took a funny dig by showing a paper with "2-1" written on it, as Australia is currently 2-1 up in the ongoing Ashes 2023. Sunak also didn't hold up and responded with a picture of England winning the third test at Leeds.

In response, the Australian PM showed a picture of Jonny Bairstow after his controversial run-out in the second Test at Lord's. It led Sunak to take a funny jibe, and he said, "I’m sorry, I didn’t bring my sandpaper with me," which led both leaders to burst into laughter.

Notably, Australia need only one win or a draw in the remaining games to retain the Ashes. On the other hand, England need to win both of their remaining games to get their hands on the urn. Both teams will lock horns in the fourth test on July 19 (Wednesday) at Old Trafford in Manchester. Many believe that the upcoming game will decide the winner of the series. England will look to maintain momentum, while Australia will want to figure out another win.
