India's tour of West Indies 2023
Watch: Jomel Warrican castles India captain Rohit Sharma with a peach of a delivery

Rohit Sharma scored his 15th Test half-century in first innings of 2nd Test vs West Indies.
The second test between India and the West Indies is underway at the Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad. After winning the first game by a big margin of an innings and 141 runs, India took an unassailable 1-0 lead in the two-match series. The second game started with the hosts winning the toss and putting India to bat first.
Both Indian openers looked good once again and added consecutive 100-runs partnership. It was a great morning session for India, as they finished with more than 120 runs without losing a wicket. Yashasvi Jaiswal was the first Indian batter to get out to a wide delivery from Jason Holder. He scored his maiden fifty and scored 57 runs, including nine fours and one six.

Team India got off to a brilliant start with a 139-run opening stand between both openers. But as Jaiswal got out, India looked a bit struggling. From 139/0, India were reduced to 155/3 and lost three wickets in just 18 runs. After Jaiswal, Shubman Gill also got out early. He made only 10 runs and got out to Kemar Roach on an in-swing delivery.
On the other hand, Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who was looking pretty good for another century, also lost his concentration after watching the wicket fall from one end and got out to Jomel Warrican. The left-arm spinner bowled a magical delivery that turned from the middle stump, and Rohit poked at it to defend, and it turned away to hit the off stump.

Rohit Sharma got out just 20 runs short of what could be his 11th test century. But he made 80 runs with nine fours and two sixes. Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane are at the crease and will look to add a partnership to get the upper hand in the game. On the other hand, the hosts will look to take a few more wickets to put more pressure on the Indians.
