LSG captain Krunal Pandya picked up two wickets in the 13th over of the match.

On May 13, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) engaged in combat at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad, in the 58th game of the IPL 2023. In the IPL 16 points standings, LSG is in fifth place and SRH is in ninth.

After winning the toss, SRH captain Aiden Markram decided to bat first. Fazalhaq Farooqui was substituted for Marco Jansen by SRH. As an alternative, Yudhvir Singh and Prerak Mankad were brought in for LSG's Mohsin Khan and Deepak Hooda.

Abhishek Sharma was dismissed by Yudhvir Singh for 7 runs. Later on, Rahul Tripathi chipped in well, scoring 20 runs off 13 deliveries but like in most of the matches, the flamboyant batter failed to keep up with the start.

Opener Anmolpreet Singh gave the team a perfect start, but unfortunately, spin wizard Amit Mishra got the better of him when he was batting on 36 runs off 27 deliveries.

The SRH innings was then attempted to be stabilized by Heinrich Klaasen and Aiden Markram, with the captain scoring 28 and looking well.

However, LSG captain Krunal Pandya delivered two devastating punches in the 13th over. First, Quinton de Kock simply stumped him after he generated enough ball topspin off the leg stump to beat Markram on his outside edge.

Glenn Phillips received a peach delivery that entirely fooled him on the very first delivery. The New Zealand international gave it his all to defend it, but his off-stump became shaken as he was unable to make any kind of connection.

However, thanks to Heinrich Klaasen's 47 in 29 balls and Abdul Samad's 37*, SRH posted 182/6 in 20 overs.
