Michael Vaughan is currently in India for media engagements for IPL 2024.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan is currently in India for multiple media engagements for the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Recently, Vaughan took a break from his work to play gully cricket with some kids in Mumbai streets.
In his latest post on social media handle ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), the former England skipper gave a glimpse of his cricketing shots, and he also took a dig at the Indian pitches that has dust on it and assists spinners as compared to fast bowlers.
Notably, there was lot of dust on the street where Vaughan was playing alongside a few kids.
“Loved playing with the kids in #Mumbai .. similar pitch to the Test pitches #India,” Vaughan tweeted.

In another video shared by cricketer-turned-commentator Vaughan, he gave an insight into the famous street cricket rule, i.e., ‘one-hand, one-bounce’ dismissal while playing.
“Kids just so happy to play the game anywhere in #Mumbai … surely it should be one hand one bounce of the motorbike … #India,” he added in another tweet.

In the ongoing IPL 2024 season, one-time champions Rajasthan Royals named the 49-year-old Vaughan as their social media head for the 2024 edition on April 1. Vaughan shared this news with fans by uploading a selfie of him wearing Rajasthan’s jersey.
