[Watch] MS Dhoni turns Kohli, drops "BC" bomb after getting out vs RCB in IPL 2024

MS Dhoni made 25 runs during CSK’s valiant effort to qualify for the playoffs.
MS Dhoni has probably played his last game in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were defeated by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Saturday in the ongoing IPL 2024.
CSK were asked to chase 218 runs to win the match, however, in order to qualify for the playoffs, the Yellow Army had to make only 201 runs.
CSK started poorly, losing Ruturaj Gaikwad for a golden duck and Daryl Mitchell for four runs. However, Rachin Ravindra’s 61 in 37 balls, allied with Ajinkya Rahane’s 33 in 22, allowed CSK to reclaim contention.
However, Ravindra and Rahane both were dismissed in quick succession. Ravindra Jadeja (42* in 22) and MS Dhoni (25 in 13) gave their all to reach the playoff qualification mark of 200 runs, but CSK fell short, finishing 191/7 in 20 overs.
MS Dhoni abuses in rage as he is dismissed in the last over of CSK’s chase
It was the sixth straight win for RCB as they survived a late scare by Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni, as the two veteran India players got together and strung a valuable partnership.
CSK needed 17 runs in last 6 balls to qualify for the playoffs and MS Dhoni hit Yash Dayal for a massive six, with the ball going out of the Chepauk Stadium.
However, the very next delivery saw MS Dhoni mishit a stroke, allowing the ball to go into the hands of Swapnil Singh, destroying CSK’s chances. MS Dhoni was not a happy person as he got out trying to hit another six. He not only seemed pissed off as he punched his bat but also let out an expletive in Hindi in reaction to his dismissal.

Yash Dayal held his composure for the final four balls, limiting CSK to 191/7 and preventing them from making the IPL 2024 playoffs. RCB will now play in Eliminator on May 22, Wednesday and their opponents will be decided after the last two league games on Sunday.
