During an emotional phone call on the day of his Test debut, Mukesh Kumar found himself at a loss for words while expressing his feelings about sharing this remarkable achievement with his mother.

Mukesh Kumar became the 308th Test cricketer to represent India when he made his debut in the ongoing 2nd Test match between India and West Indies. This Test was even more special as it marked the 100th Test match between the two teams. Mukesh's inclusion in the team was due to an unfortunate niggle that Shardul Thakur experienced, leading to Mukesh replacing him in the playing XI.
