India debutant Mukesh Kumar dismissed West Indies debutant Kirk McKenzie to get his maiden test wicket.

Debutant Mukesh Kumar's cherished moment of claiming his first wicket for India finally arrived on Day 3 of the ongoing second Test against West Indies in Port of Spain.

Bowling from around the wicket, he delivered a ball that pitched outside the off-stump, maintaining an ideal length and trajectory. West Indies' debutant, Kirk McKenzie, made an error in judgment by trying to play a cut shot off the back foot. As a consequence of this misjudgment, he ended up with a thick outside-edge, leading to an easy catch for the wicketkeeper, Ishan Kishan.

This early success came in just Mukesh's seventh over in international cricket, and it gives hope for many more memorable moments to come in his cricketing journey with the Indian team.
