[Watch] Shubman Gill drops 'F' bomb after completing 100 vs CSK

Shubman Gill smashed 104 runs against CSK in the 59th match of the IPL 2024 in Ahmedabad.

Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill roared back to form with a brilliant century against the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in match No. 59 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 10.

After being asked to bat first, Gujarat openers Sai Sudharshan and Gill unleashed their beast mode as they dismantled Chennai bowling line-up. The duo added 210 runs for the first wicket as the hosts registered a mammoth total of 231/3 in 20 overs. Chennai had a poor night with the ball as pacer Tushar Deshpande took two wickets while the rest of their bowlers failed to take even a wicket.

The Gujarat skipper has been under serious pressure for his lack of runs in the ongoing IPL 2024. However, after completing his first century in the ongoing edition, Gill unleashed his frustration at the crease after dropping the ‘F’ word, following his aggressive celebration.

The incident happened in the 16th over of the first innings when Chennai skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad brought Simranjeet Singh into the attack. In the second ball of the over, Titans opener Gill smashed a full toss towards the square leg boundary, and the ball raced away for four. 

Gill removed his helmet and roared fiercly, and then he dropped the ‘F’ word while looking towards Gujarat’s dressing room. Soon after his stunning century, Chennai pacer Tushar Deshpande removed Gujarat skipper Gill in the 18th over of the match. 

Gill played a captain’s knock as he smashed 104 runs in just 55 deliveries, including nine boundaries and six maximums during his stay at the crease.
