PBKS vs RR: Watch - Trent Boult takes flying return catch to send back Prabhsimran Singh
Trent Boult continued to pick wicket in the first over of the match in his own style.
Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) locked horns in their last league match in the ongoing 16th edition of IPL 2023 on May 19, 2023, at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala.
Although both teams have a bleak chance to qualify for the playoffs and will rely on the fate of other teams results to grab a seat in the knockout stage of the IPL 2023.
The IPL encounter got off to a rousing start as Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer Trent Boult showed off his outstanding fielding abilities by taking a fantastic precise catch off his own bowling to dismiss Punjab Kings (PBKS) opener, Prabhsimran Singh.
When Boult bowled a tantalizing length ball that slightly swung back in on the second delivery of the innings, Prabhsimran was unsure of which shot to choose and the incident occurred. Prabhsimran hesitantly chipped towards the bowler's end, not knowing what was about to happen.
Boult, however, showed incredible reflexes and agility as he sprinted through the air and leaped to his right, plucking the ball in his follow-through.
While Prabhsimran (2) limped back to the dugout, PBKS captain Shikhar Dhawan's expression of bewilderment reflected the shock experienced by everyone who witnessed the spectacular catch.
The 33-year-old Kiwi player finished the catch as the crowd gasped in admiration at his poise and balance.

Rajasthan Royals’ captain Sanju Samson wins the toss and chooses to bowl
Earlier, RR skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and put PBKS into bat in their final IPL league match. In an unfortunate turn of events, star off-spinner R Ashwin was forced to miss out on the game due to a back spasm.
Due to Ashwin's unavailability, RR had to alter their starting XI in a number of ways. Trent Boult, Navdeep Saini, and Riyan Parag were included.
However, these modifications also meant that several players, including Ashwin, Joe Root, and Dhruv Jurel, were not included in this particular match.
