[Watch]: Virat Kohli starts acting after edging ball, Waits till DRS result to leave crease vs MI
RCB opener Virat Kohli was out after scoring just one run against Mumbai Indians.
Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians are taking on each other in an important clash at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After winning the toss Mumbai Indians had invited RCB into bat first. RCB had a poor start as Virat Kohli went back to the dugout in the first over of the game. Facing Jason Behrendorff, Virat Kohli got an outside edge behind the stump. Ishan Kishan going to his left took a catch to dismiss Virat. Virat could only manage to score 1 run in 4 balls. Virat after edging the ball looked back at wicket-keeper Ishan Kishan to see whether he took the catch or not, later he acted shocked and stunned like he didn't even touch the ball.

Umpires were also unmoved from the appeal, Soon after Rohit Sharma reviewed the decision. In the DRS it was clear that Virat got a big edge and he waited till the third umpire ruled him out. In between, Virat Kohli was also unmoved till the ultra edge showed a big edge from Virat’s bat. Virat tried to hit Jason Behrendorff over the mid-on region. He came charging down the track but unfortunately got an edge. As expected, Mumbai vs RCB has begun with a drama on the field. This was Virat’s rare failure in the IPL 2023. So far he has scored 420 runs in 11 innings.

Just before this, Nehal Wadhera dropped an easy catch of RCB captain Faf du Plessis at mid-wicket. Royal Challengers didn’t have a great start. After Virat Kohli, their number 3 Anuj Rawat also got out early while trying to play a scoop against Behrendorff. After the first two wickets, once again captain Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell have taken the charge of RCB inning. They are going aggressively on Mumbai bowlers.
