Jitesh Sharma took a wonderful catch behind the stumps to send back RCB's stand-in captain, Virat Kohli.

Once moving towards a big score, Royal Challengers Bangalore have managed to put up a target of a modest 175 runs to Punjab Kings at PCA Stadium in Mohali. RCB Openers were once again proving their mettle in the IPL 2023. They added 137 runs for the first wicket in 16 overs. Virat Kohli after a quick start once again looked struck in the crease against Punjab spinners. Harpreet Brar and Rahul Chahar troubled Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli before getting out to Harpreet Brar, scored 59 runs in 46 balls with 5 fours and a six.

RCB opener Virat Kohli was dismissed by Harpreet Brar in the 17th over. Brar darted one on his middle stump, to which Kohli tried to work across and paddle. In between, he missed his timing the ball after getting the toe end of that bat went straight to Jitesh Sharma behind the wickets. Jitesh plucked a great catch to dismiss Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli has struggled against spinners in the recent 2-3 years of his batting. Virat has failed to dominate the Left-Arm Spinners as well as Leg Spinners. Punjab had Both options to try against Virat Kohli.

Soon after the first wicket fell, Harpreet Brar picked up another one as Glenn Maxwell was caught at Long off while he tried to announce his arrival by a skier. These two wickets brought up confidence in Punjab Kings and since then they did not let RCB score heavily. Captain Faf du Plessis was the top scorer for Bangalore. He played magnificently to score 84 runs in 56 balls with 5 fours and 5 sixes. Faf has bettered his lead in the Orange Cap race with 343 runs in 6 innings.
