What will MS Dhoni do after retiring from cricket? It will make you respect him even more
Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni will most probably retire after the upcoming IPL.
The time MS Dhoni revealed after their final win in IPL 2023 that he would continue to play in the IPL was a terrific occasion for Chennai Super Kings fans to rejoice. However, Dhoni is 42 years old, and there is much uncertainty about his future.
When the IPL 2024 season begins early next year, all eyes will be on MS Dhoni. While the former Indian cricket team captain has long since gone from international cricket, Dhoni remains a dominant figure in the Indian Premier League. Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings to their fifth title in the league’s history.
The huge concern about MS Dhoni’s successor lingers as the Chennai Super Kings prepare for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. In 2022, Ravindra Jadeja was tried as CSK’s captain, but the tactic failed so badly that Dhoni had to be reinstalled as the franchise’s captain in the middle of the season.
While Jadeja’s return as captain seems improbable, CSK are still looking for a new leader. During the IPL 2024 auction in Dubai, CSK coach Stephen Fleming said that the management has plans for life after MS Dhoni and things will be discussed when the time comes.
“Want to spend time with…”: MS Dhoni has his agenda set for life after cricket
During a recent promotional event, MS Dhoni was asked about his plans for life after cricket. Given that Dhoni will still be leading CSK in IPL 2024 at the age of 42, and him being a very private person, not much is known about what he wants to do.
Dhoni has been devoting time to farming and cultivating different things on his farms and loved working in the field.
MS Dhoni was asked a question on similar lines about his plans apart from cricket. He gave an interesting reply.
“I have never thought about it. I am still playing cricket. IPL I am still playing. It will be very interesting to see what I end up doing after cricket. I think for sure, I want to spend a bit more time with the Army because last few years I have not been able to do that,” MS Dhoni can be heard as saying in a video that has gone viral.
