India are set to play two T20I against Ireland along with five T20Is and three ODIs against England.
After a prolonged season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), India team await a long-drawn international calendar. The side will be playing 23 T20Is, 20 ODIs and 10 Test matches till the next IPL.
After the one-off Test and three ODIs against Afghanistan, India are set to tour Ireland and England for white-ball series. The Men in Blue will be playing two T20Is against Ireland and five against England followed by three ODIs against Three Lions..
Several verified reports have claimed that Suryakumar Yadav is set to be replaced by Shreyas Iyer as the new captain of the Indian T20 team. Yadav was on a lean patch since 2025 with batting numbers not on his side.
Shreyas Iyer has emerged as the front-runner for the captaincy spot. He last played a T20I for India in December 2023. However, his leadership in the IPL and domestic tournaments has earned him this opportunity.
ESPNCricinfo also reported that the young prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is set to receive his maiden call-up for India for the upcoming T20I series. He took the IPL 2026 by storm winning numerous accolades, including the Orange cap and the MVP of the season.

The Ireland tour starts on June 26, while the T20Is against England commence on 1st July. With both the series around the corner, many have been wondering about the squad announcement for all three series.
However, the reports in Times of India, have suggested that the selection committee of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be meeting on 6th June in Mumbai to pick the squads for the England and Ireland tours.
The reports also mentioned that chief selector Ajit Agarkar will be attending a press conference as well after the selection meeting. It is expected that several fresh faces will be included in the T20I teams as selection committee will be rewarding their IPL performances.
