Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 is set to commence on December 24, with a total of 32 teams battling for the trophy. India’s domestic one-day cup tournament will start on December 24 and witness the final on January 18. All 32 teams are part of the Elite Group.

According to the ICC Batting Rankings, Rohit is the top batter in ODIs, while Kohli is ranked second. Both Kohli, who is 37, and Rohit, who is 38, have played international cricket for 17 and 18 years, respectively. They currently only play ODIs after retiring from Tests and T20Is.
An international goodbye will accompany an ODI retirement. Both are excited to travel to South Africa for the 2027 ODI World Cup.

Virat Kohli will play for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, and their matches will be played in Bengaluru. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma will play for Mumbai, and their matches will be played in Jaipur.
During the 2009–10 season, when he was also the team captain, Kohli made his final appearance for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
In five games, he amassed 229 runs at a strike rate of 102.23 and an average of 45.8. On February 18, 2010, he hit 16 runs off just eight balls in his final game against Services, as Delhi collected 311 runs in their 50 overs.
Delhi easily won the match by 113 runs after Services were knocked out for just 198 runs in response. They were unable to advance to the following round, though, as Delhi was eliminated from the North Zone points table by Haryana and Punjab.
In October 2018, Rohit Sharma played for Mumbai in the quarterfinal and semifinal of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Before being dismissed for just 17 runs in the semi-final match against Hyderabad, he struck an undefeated 33 against Bihar in the 70-run chase. Rohit missed the final due to national obligations, but Mumbai went on to win the title that season as well.
