359 players will undergo the hammer in IPL 2026 auction, which will take place in Abu Dhabi on December 16.
The battleground is all set for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini-auction, where 10 franchises will clash to bid for their favourite players. A total of 359 players have been shortlisted to undergo the hammer in the auction, competing for 77 available slots.
The list comprises 244 Indian and 115 overseas players, out of which, there are 230 uncapped Indian players and 15 uncapped foreign players. 40 players have placed themselves in the highest salary bracket of INR 2 crores, with Venkatesh Iyer and Ravi Bishnoi being the only two Indian players in that category.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have their highest salary purse available in their kitty, with INR 64.30 crores and INR 43.40 crores, respectively. KKR (13) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (10) have the most slots available to fill, followed by CSK and Rajasthan Royals (RR) with nine slots each.
Where to watch IPL 2026 auction live?

IPL 2026 auction will take place on December 16 (Tuesday) at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The auction will commence at 2:30 PM IST.
The live telecast of the auction will be available on Star Sports Network, while the live streaming will be provided by the JioHotstar app and website. Indian fans can switch to these two platforms to watch the auction.
Ahead of the IPL auction, Punjab Kings (PBKS) retained the maximum 21 players in their squad, followed by Mumbai Indians (MI) and Gujarat Titans (GT) with 20 players each. A total of 173 players have been retained by all 10 IPL teams, including 49 overseas players.
