Abhishek Sharma smashed a 30-ball century as India defeated Afghanistan by 127 runs in the third T20I.
India continued their strong run in T20I cricket as they completed a 3-0 series sweep over Afghanistan in Delhi. The Men in Blue had already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead after winning the first two matches of the series.
India posted 221 for 7 in the third T20I game, with Abhishek Sharma leading the way. The opener smashed 108 runs from just 34 balls and scored his century in only 30 balls. His innings also helped his team to record a 127-run win and complete a 3-0 series sweep.
Sanju Samson also continued his form with another half-century, while India’s bowlers restricted Afghanistan to just 94 runs. Nitish Kumar Reddy finished with three wickets, while Ravi Bishnoi also picked up three wickets. With this, The Men in Blue won the series by 3-0.

What is India’s next match after Afghanistan T20Is?

India’s next match is the one-off T20I against Japan on Tuesday, September 22. The game will be played at the Sano International Cricket Ground in Tochigi and will start at 7:00 PM IST.
The match will be a special one as it will be the first senior international meeting between India and Japan. It is also part of the Suzuki Cup, and Indian fans will be able to watch the match on Sony Sports Network, while the live streaming will be available on SonyLIV.
After the Japan T20I, India will focus towards the Asian Games 2026. The men’s cricket tournament is scheduled to begin on September 28 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
India are the defending champions in men’s cricket after winning the gold medal at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou. The team will once again aim to finish at the top when their campaign begins.
At the same time, Indian ODI team will be in action as well. The first ODI will be played in Thiruvananthapuram on September 27, followed by the second ODI in Guwahati on September 30. The third and final ODI will take place in Tira on October 3.

After the ODI series, India and West Indies will also play a five-match T20I series. The first T20I will be played in Lucknow on October 6, with the remaining games in Ranchi, Indore, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
India’s schedule gets busy in October
The Men in Blue will not have much time to rest after the West Indies series. The team will then travel to New Zealand for a five-match T20I series.
The T20I matches are scheduled from October 22 to November 1, with games in Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland and Hamilton. India will then play a five-match ODI series against New Zealand from November 4 to November 15.
The New Zealand tour will also include a two-match Test series. The first Test is scheduled in Wellington from November 19 to 23, while the second Test will be played in Christchurch from November 27 to December 1.
When does the IND vs WI ODI series start?
The three-match ODI series will begin on September 27, followed by matches on September 30 and October 3.
When will India next play T20I cricket?
India’s next T20I will be against Japan, which will be played on September 22.
