India’s T20I schedule after Zimbabwe series
India’s next assignment in T20I will be a three-match T20I series against Afghanistan in September 2026. According to ESPN, the three matches will be played on September 13, September 15, and September 17. Though Afghanistan is the official host, all three matches will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, which will also be the first time Afghanistan host Men in Blue in an international bilateral series.
The series is likely to be India’s last task in T20I cricket before the men’s tournament at the 2026 Asian Games commencing in late September. It gives the team management one more opportunity to review various player combinations as well as the roles of each player before the continental championship.
