According to a report by Cricbuzz, efforts are currently underway to secure a broadcaster for the historic one-off T20I. The two cricket associations are understood to be working with the ITW Universe to finalise the broadcast arrangements for the upcoming encounter.
The initial plan for the streaming of this match was suggested to be done on YouTube using minimal production equipment. The board is now willing to find a streaming platform for the match; however, the challenge remains that it is a match between two unevenly matched opponents.
However, the match might clash with the women’s cricket gold medal match in the Asian Games. The match is scheduled around an hour after the India-Japan men’s fixture. The match between India and Japan is scheduled to begin at 9:30 AM IST.
For now, the priority remains finding a broadcast partner, while YouTube continues to be a possible option for the global audience.
