CSK suffered a big top-order collapse, losing four wickets in the powerplay. Pacers Nandre Burger and Jofra Archer led the team’s bowling attack. Burger gave the first blow to CSK in the second over, dismissing Sanju Samson for six runs.
Gaikwad was dismissed by Archer in the third over before Burger sent Ayush Mhatre packing for a duck. Losing the top four batters for single digits, CSK reeled at 41/4. Eventually, Burger ended with two wickets in the clash off his four overs.

Notably, Nandre Burger is a left-arm medium pacer from South Africa. The 30-year-old has represented the Proteas in three tests, 14 ODIs, and eight T20Is so far. He accounts for 22 and six wickets in ODIs and T20Is respectively. In tests, he has taken 14 wickets.
He made his international debut in 2023 and last played for South Africa in December 2025 in the ODI series against India.

Speaking about the RR vs CSK clash, the Ruturaj Gaikwad & Co. were bowled out for just 127 runs. Jamie Overton was the highest scorer with 43 runs, as all other batters failed to cross even the 20-run mark.
Royals came up with a brilliant bowling effort. Apart from Burger and Jofra Archer, Ravindra Jadeja also got two scalps, while Brijesh Sharma, Sandeep Sharma, and Ravi Bishnoi got one wicket each.
