CSK bought Anshul Kamboj following a bidding war with MI.
Haryana’s pace-bowling all-rounder Anshul Kamboj received a hefty contract from the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the IPL 2025 mega auction. Kamboj was bought by the five-time champions for INR 3.4 crores on the second day of the mega auction, which is taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Kamboj had a base price of INR 30 lakhs, as it is the bracket for all uncapped Indian players.
Delhi Capitals began the bidding for Kamboj at his base price and CSK were the second team to bid for him. DC moved out and in came Lucknow Super Giants, who then moved out at 80 lakhs when Mumbai Indians jumped in the race to sign Kamboj.
Both the five-time champions recognize Kamboj’s talent and engaged in a bidding war, which was eventually won by CSK at 3.4 crores.
