Who is Anshul Kamboj? All you need to know about Mumbai Indians' 23-year-old all-rounder

All-rounder Anshul Kamboj made his IPL debut with MI against SRH in 2024.
It was a memorable night for Anshul Kamboj as he made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 for the five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 6.
In the game, MI captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl first. During the toss, Hardik revealed that Kamboj will make his debut and replace overseas pacer Gerald Coetzee in the playing XI.
Who is Anshul Kamboj?
Anshul was born on December 6, 2000, in Karnal, Haryana. The 23-year-old all-rounder has played 13 First-Class (FC) matches and has amassed 284 runs at an average of 18.93. With the ball, he has taken 24 FC wickets with a best figures of 3/24.
In List A cricket, the Haryana-born cricketer has featured in 15 games and has scored 23 runs till now. With the ball, Kamboj has scalped 23 wickets. In T20s, Kamboj has just played nine games and amassed 22 runs till now. With the ball, the 23-year-old has picked up 11 wickets.
Anshul had a stellar performance in the 2023–24 season of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he took 17 wickets in 10 matches, helping his side win the tournament. With this magnificent performance, he was roped in by the five-time champions, Mumbai, for INR 20 lakhs at the IPL 2024 mini-auction.
