Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Gujarat Titans (GT) are clashing in match 4 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The PBKS vs GT encounter got underway on March 31 at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh.
PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. The decision worked in their favour as they halted GT from going big in the first innings.
Gujarat could only reach 162/6 in the first innings with none of their batter managing a fifty. Subman Gill (39) and Jos Buttler (38) were the highest run-scorers for the side.
They started well and got enough runs in the middle overs. However, towards the end, they lost a few crucial wickets and failed to post a big total on the board.
Punjab Kings all-rounder Cooper Connolly made his IPL debut in the clash. He came out to bat at No.3 and slammed GT bowlers all over the park. The all-rounder played a brilliant innings and slammed a match-winning half-century to take his team to a 3-wicket win.
