Who is Kashvee Gautam? Uncapped Indian cricketer who got sold for 2 crores to GG in WPL 2024 auction

Kashvee Gautam has been a wonderful performer for Chandigarh in domestic cricket.

The all-rounder from Chandigarh Kashvee Gautam has become the talk of the town once again and this time due to the WPL 2024 auction in Mumbai. Kashvee Gautam has got a huge amount of money from Gujarat Giants for the upcoming season in the WPL. Gujarat Giants will be paying 2 crore rupees to a 20-year old all-rounder from Chandigarh who looks to go big in the upcoming season. Gautam will be representing Gujarat Giants. 

There was a huge bidding war between UP Warriorz and Gujarat Giants for Kashvee but Giants prevailed as they had a large sum of money remaining in their purse. UP Warriorz also bid on Kashvee aggressively but after a long discussion at the table, they let Kashvee Gautam go to the Gujarat Giants camp. Gujarat needed 10 slots to fill as they released several players from their camp and retained only 8 players from WPL 2023. 

Who is Kashvee Gautam?

Kashvee Gautam earned the limelight with her spectacular performance for Chandigarh Under-19 side in domestic cricket. Right-arm pace bowler Kashvee Gautam, who is also known for hitting the long balls with the bat, picked up 10 wickets in an innings including a hat-trick against Arunachal Pradesh in the women’s domestic Under-19 tournament in 2020. Kashvee represented the Trailblazers in the Women’s T20 Challenge after her spectacular performance in the domestic circuit. 

She was recently picked for India A team as well and bowled a few magnificent spells against England A women’s. Kashvee impressed everyone with her stellar consistency and now she will be earning in crores due to the WPL auction. She has also represented India’s emerging women’s squad recently. For Chandigarh, Kashvee did a great job in limited-overs format. She picked up 12 wickets in 7 games in the Senior Women’s T20 tournament played in June. 

She is known for hitting the deck hard and her presence will be a booster dose for Gujarat Giants in the upcoming season. Gujarat Giants ended up at bottom of the table with just 4 points and 2 wins out of 8 league games they played last season. Apart from Kashvee Gautam, all-rounder Annabel Sutherland also got a huge amount of 2 crore rupees in the WPL 2024 auction. Delhi Capitals bought Annabel Sutherland for 2 crore rupees.
