Praful made a magnificent start to his IPL career. The right-arm pacer picked three wickets in his first over. Dismissing Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel, and Lhuan-dre Pretorius for ducks, he gave a big blow to RR’s batting in the chase. Later, he also dismissed captain Riyan Parag in his second over.

Who is Praful Hinge?

Praful Hinge is a right-arm medium pacer who was born in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The 24-year-old plays for Vidarbha in domestic cricket. He was part of the Vidarbha team that won the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 and the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26.
Till now, he has played 10 first-class matches, in which he has taken 27 wickets at an average of 26.33. He has also featured in 6 List A games, where he accounts for five wickets. He made his first-class debut for Vidarbha in October 2024 against Puducherry and followed it with his List A debut in January 2025.
Initially considering himself a batsman, he transitioned to fast bowling at his father’s suggestion. He also overcame the hurdle of an illegal bowling action at the start of his career with the help of intensive training.
Sunrisers Hyderabad bought Praful for INR 30 lakh in the IPL 2026 mini-auction. He went unsold in the previous auction in 2025.
