Who is Pratham Singh? All you need to know about the Delhi batsman who has taken domestic cricket by storm in 2024

India A batter Pratham Singh scored a brilliant century against India D in the Duleep Trophy 2024.
Delhi cricketer Pratham Singh has caught the attention of everyone after recording a brilliant ton in the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024 for India A against India D. Pratham, who replaced Indian batter Shubman Gill in the India A squad, showcased his skills and class in the second round of the Duleep Trophy.
Pratham’s outstanding knock has helped him make a name for himself among some of the star domestic cricketers right now in the Duleep Trophy 2024.
Who is Pratham Singh?
A left-handed batter, Pratham Singh was born on 31st August 1992. Pratham hails from Akbarpur district in Uttar Pradesh. He currently lives in Delhi. Singh made his First-Class (FC) debut for Railways against Maharashtra in November 2017.
The 32-year-old cricketer made his List A debut for Railways against Haryana in Delhi in February 2017. Pratham played his maiden T20 match for Railways against Saurashtra in Indore in February 2019.
In FC cricket, Pratham has made 1568 runs in 29 matches at an average of 35.63, including 10 fifties and one century till now.
The left-handed batter has played 28 List-A matches so far, scoring 1097 runs at a good average of 40.62 with the help of two hundreds and eight fifties. In T20s, the 32-year-old has played 41 games and amassed 1132 runs, with eight half-centuries.
Pratham Singh has been part of two IPL franchises
The Delhi cricketer Pratham was picked by the Gujarat Lions for INR 10 Lakhs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 auction. However, he didn’t play any matches for the Gujarat Lions.
The top-order batter was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2022 auction. Sadly, he didn’t feature in any of the games here as well and later was released from the squad.
Pratham Singh had a dream Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019
The 32-year-old Pratham made his T20 debut for Railways in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019 against Haryana. He scored 40 crucial runs to help his side chase down the 189-run target.
The left-handed batter ended the tournament as the third-highest run-scorer with 438 runs in 10 outings. Pratham also notched up four back-to-back half-centuries.
Pratham smashed a brilliant century in Duleep Trophy 2024 tournament
During the match between India A and India D in the Duleep Trophy 2024 tournament, India A opener Pratham played a superb knock of 122 runs off 189 deliveries, which included 12 fours and one maximum.
