Jai Moondra dismissed both Indian openers in the IRE vs IND 2nd T20I.

The Indian Cricket Team are clashing with Ireland in a series-decider at Civil Services Club in Belfast. Indian skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bowl first in the encounter, which they need to win at any cost to keep their hopes of drawing the series alive.

India gave a big blow to Ireland at the start, dismissing both of their openers cheaply. However, Harry Tector (53) came up with a fabulous half-century to bail his team out of trouble.

Benjamin Calitz added 37 runs as well as Ireland posted 154/8. Prince Yadav, who made his T20I debut in the clash, clinched a three-wicket haul. Arshdeep Singh and Shivam Dube bagged two scalps each.

In the chase, Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma got out for ducks. Left-arm pacer Jai Moondra dismissed both of them for golden ducks in his first over, giving a big blow to the visitors. Later, he also bagged big wicket of captain Shreyas Iyer.

Interestingly, Moondra is an Indian-origin player who was born in Tonk City, Rajasthan. He made his international debut in the 1st T20I against Ireland and has not played in Tests or ODIs.

In Ireland’s domestic circuit, he plays for the Leinster Cricket Team. He has only played a handful of games in the domestic circuit, but has impressed many. He has featured in six games in List A Cricket, clinching 11 wickets at an average of 21.45. He has played only one first-class game so far.

The 29-year-old pacer also impressed with his performance in the 1st T20I against India, clinching two wickets in his four-over spell. He had an economy of 6.20, as he helped Ireland to bag their first-ever victory against India in T20Is.
