Asia Cup 2025: Who will qualify for Super Four if Pakistan defeat the UAE?

Pakistan vs UAE clash in the Asia Cup 2025 will be a knockout game.

In what will be the most important clash of Group A, the Pakistan Cricket Team will be locking horns with the UAE Cricket Team in match ten of the Asia Cup 2025. The game between the two teams will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Wednesday (17th September). 

Pakistan and the UAE are having a similar kind of Asia Cup 2025. Both sides have played two games so far in the tournament and have won one each with one loss as well. Thus, the game between them becomes extremely important, especially in the context of the qualification for the Super Four stage. 

Pakistan started the tournament with a massive 93-run win over Oman in their opening encounter. But were on the receiving end a seven-wicket thrashing at the hands of the Indian Cricket Team in their second game. They are currently at the second spot on the points table and would want to retain that position. 

On the other hand, the UAE started the Asia Cup 2025 on a poor note. They faced a disappointing nine-wicket loss against India in their opening game. But made a strong comeback in their second game against Oman, winning the game by a massive margin of 42 runs to keep themselves alive in the tournament.

Who will qualify for the Super Four of the Asia Cup 2025 if Pakistan defeat the UAE?

The game between Pakistan and the UAE in the Asia Cup 2025 is a knockout clash. Since both sides have one win each, the winners will book their berth in the Super Four clash along with India, while the losing side will be eliminated and will join Oman. 

Coming into the clash, Pakistan seem the favourites to win the game. Although the game against India didn’t go their way, they are good enough to beat the UAE, who are still finding their feet at the international level.

Pakistan also threatened to boycott the game if the match referee Andy Pycroft wasn’t removed from the panel of the Asia Cup 2025. However, the International Cricket Council (ICC) reportedly rejected their demand. Despite that, they will be playing against the UAE but Pycroft won’t officiate in their game.
