The second IRE vs IND T20I is underway in Belfast.

Ireland stunned India by a 34-run victory in the first T20I on June 26, 2026, registering their first-ever win against Men in Blue in any format of international cricket. The second and final T20I on June 28, 2026, was going to be a high-stakes game. Ireland posted 154/8 in 20 overs, and India’s chase began with early wicket setbacks.

Ireland did not get a huge total, but they still managed to put India under pressure by taking wickets at the right time. The weather has once again become the major talking point. Rain stopped play with India on 54/4 after 8 overs in Belfast, and the DLS par score was 69/4 at that stage, which means India were 15 runs behind the par mark.

The situation is currently tricky for the Indian Team because any more rain interruptions could push them further away from chasing.

If no further play is possible, and then by applying the DLS method, Ireland will win the match because India was behind the required DLS score when rain stopped play. Since Ireland already won the first T20I by 34 runs, they would also win the two-match series 2-0.

The ground staff have already worked hard to clear water from the outfield, and the game has resumed. Tilak Verma showed some composure with 34 runs off 32 balls, while Axar Patel got by scoring 14 runs off 18 balls.
