Whom did Ben Stokes get into scuffle with at the nightclub?

Ben Stokes has been dropped from the ENG vs NZ 2nd test.

England defeated New Zealand by 115 runs in the 1st test recently. The encounter took place at Lord’s in London. After being asked to bat first, England were bowled out for 140 runs in the first innings with a lone half-century by Harry Brook. Kyle Jamieson picked up a five-wicket haul while Nathan Smith clinched three wickets for Black Caps.

However, Ben Stokes & Co. made a comeback with the ball, dismissing New Zealand for just 113 runs. With better teamwork in the second innings, England piled up 226/10. New Zealand succumbed to the pressure against a 254-run target, getting bowled out for just 138 runs.

Gus Atkinson clinched a five-wicket haul in the 2nd innings to play a crucial role in bundling out New Zealand. Ollie Robinson, who took a total of seven wickets in the clash, including a fifer in the first innings, was awarded Player of the Match.

After the victory, England captain Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson were caught in a controversy. Notably, the England cricket team had a strict midnight curfew in place. However, Stokes and Atkinson went out and broke the protocols. Moreover, they also got involved in a brawl at a London Club.

The incident took place at The Rex Rooms (formerly the 151 Club) on King’s Road in Chelsea, London. Stokes and Atkinson got into a scuffle with a Saracens academy 21-year-old rugby union player, Totoa Auvaa.

Totoa is a 21-year-old and 6-foot-5-inch tall rugby player, who weights 125 kg. He is a professional rugby player for the Saracens Academy in England. He hails from Samoa, a small island country in Polynesia in the South Pacific Ocean. He previously led Samoa in U20s and Samoa A teams in rugby.

As per the reports, they got into a verbal and physical altercation with the rugby player. The Samoan tried to hit Atkinson, but an ECB security staff member was injured in the incident.

Neither Stokes nor Atkinson were injured in the brawl. ECB investigated the matter and both Stokes and Atkinson were found guilty of breaching the code of conduct.

As a result, they have also been dropped from the second test against New Zealand, which will begin on June 17. In Stokes’ absence, Joe Root will lead the team in the encounter.
