Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) are clashing in the 43rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on May 1. The encounter is taking place at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

With six wins and three losses in nine encounters, Rajasthan Royals have delivered amazing form this season. They capture the fourth spot in the points table with 12 points.

Delhi Capitals are stranded at seventh place in the points table with six points, winning three games and losing five games out of eight.

In the match 43 of IPL 2026, RR captain Riyan Parag won the toss and opted to bat first. At the toss, DC captain Axar Patel informed that they have made three changes to their playing XI. Sahil Parakh, David Miller, and Dushmantha Chameera were not part of the clash.

Mitchell Starc made his return for DC, and is playing his first game of IPL 2026. He has replaced Dushmantha Chameera in the playing XI. Moreover, opener Sahil Parakh was not available due to an injury and DC brought back Pathum Nissanka in his absence. As a result, they had to drop David Miller to maintain the overseas combination.

Revealing about the playing XI at the toss, Patel said, “Starc is playing and unfortunately Chameera isn’t playing. Sahil Parikh got injured and Pathum is playing in his place, that’ll be four overseas players which means David Miller sits out. Ashok Sharma is there, so there are the three changes”.

Speaking about being asked to bat first, Axar said, “The wicket looks good and we’re happy to chase. It’s important to return to basics. You need to stay in the present to turn things around, focus on the positives. Attitude and body language are very important”.

Meanwhile, Miller has scored 123 runs in seven innings at an average of 41.0 and a strike rate of 146.42. He has done a commendable job as a finisher and featured in all eight games.
