Multan have won both of their games in PSL 2026 so far. They outplayed Islamabad United in their first match by five wickets. They defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen by six wickets in their previous game.
Speaking about Lahore Qalandars, they defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen in their first game by 69 runs. However, they lost to Karachi Kings in their second match by four wickets.
Notably, Fakhar Zaman was not part of Lahore’s playing XI against Multan. The left-handed batsman featured in last two games. He scored a half-century in the opening game but got out cheaply for 1 run in the second encounter.
Why did Fakhar Zaman miss MUL vs LAH match of PSL 2026?

Notably, Zaman has been handed a two-match ban in PSL 2026 for a ball-tampering attempt. The incident took place during the previous game against Karachi Kings on Sunday. The on-field umpire sought the ball from Haris Rauf after it had exchanged hands between Shaheen Afridi and Fakhar before the start of the last over.
The on-field umpires had a lengthy discussion and the two decided to bring in a replacement ball, deeming it to have been tampered with. Karachi were also given five penalty runs.
Fakhar was charged for breaching Article 41.3 of the PSL playing conditions, which deals with changing the condition of the ball to seek unfair advantage during a match. Later, match referee Roshan Mahanama imposed a two-match ban on Zaman.
Although he lodged an appeal, the PSL technical committee found him guilty of the act. Fakhar will also miss the clash against Islamabad United on April 9
