Ishant Sharma has not played any game for GT in IPL 2026 so far.

After winning two games in a row, Delhi Capitals (DC) are clashing with Gujarat Titans (GT) in their third match of the Indian Premier League 2026. The DC vs GT match got underway on April 8 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Axar Patel & Co. defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in their previous games of IPL 2026, winning by six wickets on both occasions. Sameer Rizvi grabbed the limelight by scoring match-winning half-centuries in both clashes.

Gujarat Titans aim for their first victory of IPL 2026 after losing the first two games against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Captain Shubman Gill, who missed the previous game, was back in the playing XI against DC.

Gill replaced Kumar Kushagra in the playing XI, and it was the only change that Gujarat made for the encounter. Hence, pacer Ishant Sharma is not part of the team once again. Delhi have fielded the same playing XI as was in the previous game.

Notably, GT have overlooked Ishant Sharma for the match like the previous two games. Despite defeats in the first two matches, GT have made no changes in their bowling unit.

Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, and Ashok Sharma are the three pacers part of the playing 11, while Prasidh Krishna will play as an impact player. Hence, Sharma will have to wait for his opportunities.

GT Playing XI: Shubman Gill (c), Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler(w), Washington Sundar, Glenn Phillips, Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, Ashok Sharma.

DC Playing XI: KL Rahul (wk), Pathum Nissanka, Nitish Rana, Vipraj Nigam, Axar Patel(c), David Miller, Tristan Stubbs, Kuldeep Yadav, Lungi Ngidi, T Natarajan, Mukesh Kumar.
