Why is Jos Buttler not playing ENG vs SL series decider in London?

Jordan Cox replaced Jos Buttler in England’s XI for last ENG vs SL ODI.
The England Cricket Team are currently playing in an ODI series decider against Sri Lanka. The three-match ODI series started on September 22. In the first match, England batted first and were all out for 265 runs. However, Sri Lanka failed to chase the total and were bundled out for 176 runs, giving the hosts an 89-run victory.
In the second match, this time Sri Lanka batted first, scoring 321 runs in 50 overs. The English team failed to chase the total and lost the match by 16 runs. Now, the series is levelled at 1-1, and the third match is being played at The Oval in London.
However, at the toss, it was revealed by captain Harry Brook that Jordan Cox would replace Jos Buttler for the match. Buttler, who scored 69 runs in 49 balls in the second ODI, is not included in the playing XI for the decider.

While chasing the target of 322 runs at Headingley against Sri Lanka, Jos Buttler injured himself and was forced to retire hurt in the 38th over of the game. He did return in the 48th over; however, he couldn’t take his team to win. Despite the injury, he scored 69 runs in the second ODI.
However, due to the hamstring injury, he was ruled out of the third ODI against Sri Lanka. He will undergo further assessment by the management. Dan Lawrence was called up to the team, replacing Jos Buttler in the squad.
England made three changes going into the third match, bringing in Jordan Cox, Liam Dawson and Sonny Baker in place of Jos Buttler, Rehan Ahmed and Josh Tongue, respectively.
With the series poised at 1-1, it is a perfect chance for the Sri Lankan side to win the series in the absence of an experienced cricketer like Buttler. But it won’t be easy for the Kusal Mendis-led side to overcome Harry Brook’s England.
