Revealed: Why Mitchell Marsh isn't included in Delhi Capitals' playing XI vs GT

Already struggling in the IPL 2023, Delhi Capitals had another setback before taking on Gujarat Titans. Titans are at the top of the points table with 6 wins and 12 points in 8 games. Delhi’s top performer against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mitchell Marsh is ruled out from the Titans clash. Delhi have registered only 2 wins in their 8 games and were struggling to get momentum in their campaign. Their race for the playoffs looks almost impossible. A big setback for Delhi Capitals

All-rounder Mitchell Marsh will be sitting out due to his illness. DC captain Warner at the toss informed, “Unfortunately, Mitch Marsh is sick so he will not be taking part in the game, Rilee Rossouw comes in for him”. Apart from this big change, Khaleel Ahmed has also come in as he has recovered from his hamstring injury. Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya had opted to go in with the same team, they are keeping the winning eleven intact from the last few games. The Titans have won the last 4 games consecutively. Delhi are looking for a win.

After a few initial failures, Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh had done well in the last two games. Marsh in the last two games against Sunrisers Hyderabad had scored 88 runs and picked up 4 wickets. At Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium, Marsh scored 63 runs and bowled a brilliant spell of 4/27 against SRH. Before this, he had scored only 6 runs in his first 4 innings. Though, he had bowled a few good spells for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2023.
