Mohammed Shami was expected to make his comeback in IND vs NZ series.
Team India are all set to tour New Zealand for a multi-format series in the final half of 2026. These two sides will face off each other in five T20Is, five ODIs, and two Tests between Oct 22 and Dec 01.
Both teams have already revealed their squads for the T20I series, which will kick off on October 22 in Christchurch. Shreyas Iyer will lead the Men in Blue in the shorter format.
Once the T20I series gets over, both teams will indulge in a five-match ODI series. This series will be played between November 4 and 15. On Friday, the Indian selection committee has announced the 16-member squad for the ODI series.
There are two different squads announced, considering the two-match Test series starting on November 19. Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer will be leading these squads, and several players will get their chance to impress the selectors.

Mohammed Siraj, who will be key bowler for India in tests, is picked for all five ODIs, while Jasprit Bumrah has been given rest from the ODI series. Hardik Pandya is still injured, and Nitish Kumar Reddy and Axar Patel are two all-rounders in the squad. Meanwhile, Ruturaj Gaikwad, who had a good last series, is part of all five games.
