Mohammed Siraj took four wickets in India A’s match against New Zealand A.
Mohammed Siraj was not named in India’s XI for the first ODI against New Zealand in Auckland on Wednesday, November 4. He featured for India A in a four-day match against New Zealand A. The match ended on November 3, leaving little time for the fast bowler to get ready for the ODI series.
India began the three-match series with an eye on the 2027 ODI World Cup. The team will look to test their combinations and prepare for the tournament during the five-match series.
In first NZ vs IND ODI, India won the toss at Eden Park, and captain Shubman Gill chose to bowl first. However, Siraj’s absence was a talking point as India entered the match with four pacers in their XI.

“We are going with the four fast bowlers and two all-rounders with Naman and Axar, with Anshul, Auqib, Gurnoor and Arshdeep,” Gill said at the toss.
