Praful Hinge was part of SRH’s previous two games in IPL 2026.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are locking horns with Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League 2026 on Tuesday, April 21. The encounter got underway at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
SRH take the fourth spot in the IPL 2026 points table with six points. With a victory against DC, they have an opportunity to reach second place. DC are fifth, behind SRH, with both teams on equal points.
DC captain Axar Patel won the toss and opted to field first in the clash. They made one change to their playing XI by replacing Auqib Nabi with Nitish Rana.
Notably, Praful Hinge is not part of SRH’s squad. It was a surprising move as he performed well in the previous two matches. He picked a four-wicket haul on his debut against RR to win the Player of the Match award.
Why is Praful Hinge not part of SRH’s playing XI vs DC?
At the toss, Ishan Kishan informed that Dilshan Madushanka has replaced Hinge in the encounter. However, he is named as one of the impact substitutes. Kishan also informed that Harsh Dubey has returned to the team.
Speaking about the playing XI, Kishan said, “Oh, we have a few changes, like Madhusanka comes and I think Hinge might miss out, but still I’m not sure about it. And then Harsh Dubey is back in the side because I feel, I think it can be a little slow track and especially we have to keep that spinning option to take the wickets”.
“It’s more about, not about the results, but about execution and their headspace. They have been in good mindset coming up with their plans, like I said earlier, and that is what any captain wants from their young bowlers. So we’ll take one match at a time and I think they’ll keep on executing their plans,” he added.
Notably, Praful gave an impeccable performance in his debut game against RR, clinching three wickets in his very first IPL over. He was a little costly in the previous game against CSK by leaking 60 runs; however, he also defended 19 runs in his final over to help SRH win.
