Salman Agha captained Pakistan in first ENG vs PAK Test.

The Pakistan Cricket Team is currently playing against England in the second Test match of the series at Lord’s, London. They were defeated one-sidedly by England in the first Test at Headingley by an innings and 103 runs.

In the last few years, the Pakistan have continued to disappoint their fans through a series of poor performances. Their last SENA win came way back in 2018, also at Lord’s, and after eight years, they will hope to recreate history.

However, after captaining the team in the absence of Babar Azam in the first Test, Pakistan skipper Salman \ Agha is now missing from the playing XI for the second Test. the visitors won the rain-delayed toss at Lord’s and elected to bowl first, making one change as Babar returned and Salman was dropped from the XI.

The absence of Salman Agha, who is a senior Pakistan cricketer, has raised many questions, and speculation is increasing. On that note, let’s have a look at the reason why he is not playing in the second ENG vs PAK Test match.

Salman Agha has been dropped from the Pakistan XI after a poor run of form. He has been disappointing for a while and, even though he captained the team against England at Headingley, he couldn’t do anything significant, and Pakistan suffered one of their worst losses.

With Babar Azam back in the team, Salman naturally makes way for him and sits out on the bench. In his last three matches, Salman has scored 20, 0, 0, 21 and 4, and it has been a consistent pattern in his Test career. In the 28 Test matches Salman has played for Pakistan, he averages only 36.

However, even though Salman has been dropped, he is still fielding as a substitute fielder and caught a stunner to dismiss Jordan Cox with a stunning diving slip catch.

Pakistan won a great toss in overcast conditions, and so far, they have done well against the English batters. However, as play progresses, fans will hope the Pakistani batters can bat long enough and give them a moment of joy. Agha’s supporters would also want him to make a turnaround and earn his place back in the team.
