Rajasthan Royals (RR) are taking on Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 52nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday, May 9. The match is underway at Sawai ManSingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Both teams have a chance to move to the top spot in the points table with a victory in tonight’s clash. RR are placed in the fourth spot while GT take the fifth spot, with an equal 12 points each.
In match 52, RR stand-in captain Yashasvi Jaiswal won the toss and chose to field first. He also revealed about the changes, and surprisingly spinner Ravi Bishnoi and pacer Sandeep Sharma were not part of the clash.

RR have overlooked Sharma once again. The right-arm pacer last played in the clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 13. He was picked in five matches at the start, but was later snubbed due to his poor form.
Bishnoi has been dropped for the encounter and replaced by Yash Raj Punja in the playing XI. Bishnoi was part of the previous game against Delhi Capitals.
At the toss, Jaiswal also informed that Shimron Hetmyer was added to the side, while captain Riyan Parag is missing the game due to a hamstring injury.
“We are going to bowl first. I think the wicket is pretty good and we want to chase it. Riyan pulled his hamstring last game, so I feel he’ll be coming back soon. Shimron Hetmyer comes in and Yash Raj Punja comes in. That’s the two guys who are coming in. I’m really excited, looking forward to the game,” Jaiswal said.
Meanwhile, Sandeep has picked up five wickets in five games at an economy of 10.86. Bishnoi is the second-highest wicket-taker for the side with 11 scalps in nine games at an economy of 9.88.
